On April 9, 2018 at 7:00 PM, we will be sponsoring a program entitled End of Life Topics featuring our fellow parishioner, Jen Casey, RN, BSN. This program will be held at the Church. In this session, Jen will focus on end of life issues and everyone is invited.
On April 10, 2018 at 7:00 PM, we will have an Estate Planning Seminar at St. Francis de Sales School Library. This will also be informative and focuses on wills and planned giving. We kindly ask that you call the office at 906-341-5355 if you plan on attending this. Light refreshments will be offered.
EVANGELIZATION IS THE PLAN FOR OUR PARISH
In line with Bishop John Doerfler's document about evangelization (Transforming Fire: A New Pentecost to Form Spirit-Filled Evangelizers [you can read this at www.dioceseofmarquette.org]), we at St. Francis de Sales and Divine Infant of Prague are working on becoming an evangelizing parish. We need your help...and your prayers. Please pray for us as we begin our new journey towards evangelization. The parish evangelization team is meeting at the present with the goal of preparing our evangelization plan to present to the bishop on Pentecost Sunday, 2017. We are hoping to implement this plan sometime after it is reviewed by the bishop. However, everyone can evangelize NOW!!!!! Follow your heart and invite someone to come to Sunday Mass--especially if they have not been to Church in a long time.
We, the people of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, believe in the teachings of the Catholic Church and in the Real Presence of Christ, Our Lord, in the Eucharist. We are a community that prays together, and we give of our time, talent and treasure. We seek to be good examples of Christian living by loving one another as Christ loves us, and by placing a high value on family life. We believe all human life has value from beginning to end. We see our Parish as a family which includes the unborn, youth, singles, single parents, married, married parents, divorced, separated, widowed and seniors. Because we see Christ in others, we seek out and welcome ALL people.
